The new CPSC Director General, Prof. G.L.D. Wickramasinghe, paid his courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on October 8, 2021.

Together with his Executive Secretary Mr. Jan Michael Marasigan, they were greeted warmly by the Ambassador, H.E. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad Kazi, and the Head of Chancery and Second Secretary, Ms. Saadia Awan.

Ambassador Kazi is presently the Vice-Chairperson of the CPSC Governing Board, and the Chairperson of the CPSC Standing Committee, for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

The purpose of their visit is for Prof. Wickramasinghe to present his credentials personally to the Ambassador, and to apprise the Embassy of the current status of Pakistan’s recent participation in CPSC programs. He also laid out the future plans of CPSC for the MCs and Pakistan in particular and expressed his gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for its important contributions to the Staff College.

The Ambassador also expressed his commitment to support the initiatives and activities of CPSC, particularly the onboarding of the incoming faculty from Pakistan, APACC accreditation, and remittance of member country contributions. He also commended CPSC’s efforts to strengthen and promote TVET in the region and expressed his optimism about the future endeavors of the college and its member countries.
