The purpose of this visit is to make a courtesy call with the Head of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, H.E. Norman Bin Muhamad to discuss current and future programs of CPSC to its member countries, especially for the Government of Malaysia.

During the visit, Prof. Wickramasinghe cited the very active participation of Malaysia in the programs of CPSC, and especially in the activities of the Asia-Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC). He mentioned the successful implementation of online onsite visits of five (5) Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) institutions in Malaysia, which started in September 2021. He also commended the APACC accredited institutions in Malaysia, as the majority of the Gold level awardees of APACC are from Malaysia (12 out of 23). The visit also explored possibilities of partnerships that will be facilitated by both CPSC and the government of Malaysia.

In addition, Prof. Wickramasinghe presented his plans for CPSC and Malaysia in particular. He also recognized the Ambassador’s contribution to the CPSC Governing Board as its Chairperson for FY 2020-2021 and expressed his gratitude for Malaysia’s continued support to the initiatives of CPSC.
