The Colombo Plan Staff College, led by the Director General, Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub welcomed a delegation from the Department of Human Resources, Ministry of Labor and Human Resources (MOLHR), Kingdom of Bhutan visiting the CPSC Headquarters on May 20, 2014. The delegation was headed by Mr. Sangay Dorji, Chief Program Officer of Training and Professional Services Division (TPSD). With him were Mr. Karma Dorji, Principal of Technical Training Institute – Khuruthang; Mr. Karma Dorji, Mr. Pema Wangdi and Mr. Kinley Gyeltshen, Program Officers of TPSD.

The Department of Human Resources, MOLHR is currently introducing Green TVET Skills in Bhutan. In line with this, the delegation is here in the Philippines to attend the course on Best Practices in RAC Servicing, organized by the Asian Entrepreneurs Technological Institute.

Recognizing the staff college’s expertise in promoting TVET and its Green CPSC movement, the delegation came to visit CPSC to see the Director General, faculty members and staff, as well as gather relevant information about green skills.

An official program was prepared by CPSC to receive the delegation. Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub and Mr. Sangay Dorji delivered the Welcome Remarks and Special Remarks, respectively. The Director General continued with his presentation on the Role and Present Status of CPSC. A discussion followed, which led to sharing of ideas and country situations in addressing issues in TVET and migration.

The visit concluded with the exchange of tokens of appreciation between the CPSC and DHR. The group expressed their utmost appreciation to CPSC not only for the visit but for the staff college’s continuous contributions in enhancing the TVET system of Bhutan.
