Background

As global industries shift toward more sustainable, equitable, and responsible practices, the demand for a workforce equipped with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) competencies has moved beyond corporate reporting. It now shapes how companies operate, how governments set policy, and how future jobs are defined.

ESG has been instrumental in preparing learners for employment, entrepreneurship, and active citizenship through acquiring technical skills, and applying inclusive practices and sustainability in the workforce. Furthermore, integrating ESG into TVET is a strategic opportunity that enables institutions to equip learners with the values and skills needed to thrive in green and fair economies. From climate-smart agriculture and renewable energy to gender equity in the workplace and ethical leadership, ESG principles are key to shaping a resilient and adaptable workforce.

By integrating ESG principles into TVET curricula, institutions can equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to drive responsible innovation, foster inclusive growth, and meet the demands of green and ethical industries. This approach not only enhances employability and relevance of TVET graduates, but also positions them as essential contributors to sustainable development, ethical governance, and social equity in their respective communities and industries.

Objectives

  • To raise awareness and build capacity among TVET stakeholders on the importance of integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into technical and vocational education
  • To highlight best practices, explore innovative strategies for ESG inclusion in curricula and training programs, and promote dialogue among policymakers, educators, industry leaders, and learners
  • To strengthen the role of TVET in shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and ethically responsible workforce aligned with future labor market demands and global development goals

Target Participants

  • This webinar aims to share best practices on the integration of ESG principles in the TVET sector and impart knowledge to teachers, educators, trainers, and administrators of any TVET institutions, including practitioners and academicians in the TVET field.

Date and Time

The webinar is scheduled on June 30, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM (Philippine time), and will be conducted via CPSC Zoom Platform and YouTube live streaming.
