The Colombo Plan Staff College participated in the Annual EDUtech Conference for the Philippines held online from February 16-17, 2022. The conference, with the theme “Inspiring the Next Generation in the Philippines, was participated by at least 5,000 local participants and was streamed online through prolific social media platforms like Facebook and Youtube.

The CPSC Director General, Prof. G.L.D Wickramasinghe, contributed as a panelist in a live panel discussion with a theme of “Upskilling and Reskilling: Professional Education to Equip Faculty for the Digital Era”. He was able to highlight CPSC’s current programs and the mode of delivery during the conference. He was also able to discuss with leading digital content developers that the Staff College partnered with. The linkages also provided opportunities for CPSC to deliver quality and relevant courses that respond to the needs of the 4IR and digital economy.

In addition, he was also able to virtually engage with various educators in the Philippine education sector in which he was able to discuss and promote CPSC’s services to them.

Organized mainly by Terrappin, Inc, the EDUtech Philippines 2022 is a virtual event envisioned as a platform where leading educators will debate and discuss the future of education. Over 60 insightful keynote presentations, interactive Q&As, and engaging live panel discussions focusing on K-12 and Higher Education were provided in the span of two days.
