Engr. Abdul Ghani Rajput Presents TVET Papers at the 15th AASVET International Conference in Malaysia

CPSC’s Faculty Specialist from Pakistan, Engr. Abdul Ghani Rajput, was in the city of Putrajaya, Malaysia to attend the Future of TVET - Occupational Standards and The 15th AASVET International Conference held in October 6-9, 2019 at the Marriott Hotel.

Engr. Rajput presented a paper on “Lifelong Learning Initiatives by CPSC Member Countries - Industrial Revolution 4.0” as plenary speaker, and on “The Role of Virtual Communities on TVET-Teaching and Learning” as part of the panel.

During the conference, he was able to promote CPSC and its importance in TVET system of Asia-Pacific region for TVET providers, as well as to promote the services of APACC to the Department of Skills Development, Malaysia. He was able to meet with Mr. Tim Bergmeier, the Director of InPlace to develop a linkage and collaborate in e-learning software for CPSC programs. The organizers of the conference are the Department of Skills Development, Malaysia, Asian Academic Society for Vocational Education and Training (AASVET) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The conference was organized to provide a platform to discuss critical issues on future of TVET occupational standards and qualification in the era of the digital economy. The conference also tackles the rise of digital workers and the looming requirement for a new curriculum and standard to prepare them for the industry-driven demands. It was attended by over 300 participants from Malaysia and from various countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Germany, China, Brunei and Korea.
