The College was delighted to formally welcome newly appointed GB-Engaged Faculty Consultant Dr. Hazrat Hussain and his family on June 6, 2012.
Prior to his appointment to CPSC, Dr. Hazrat was engaged as Principal of the Government Advance Technical Training Center in Hayatabad Peshawar, Pakistan for a year from 2011. He held different academic and administrative posts in Pakistan which include: Head of Department, Government College of Technology Kohat (1991-2001); Head of Department, Technical Education and Manpower Training, Pukhtun Khwa (2009-2011); and Director, Accreditation and Certification, National Vocational and Technical Education Commission, Prime Minister’s Secretariat (Public) (2007-2009).
For 21 years, Dr. Hazrat had been mainly involved in the field of vocational education and training, 13 years of which were spent as Faculty in Civil Technology in many government institutions in Pakistan. He had also been mostly engaged in consultancy work with various international organizations such as: GIZ, Germany, ILO Pakistan and FATA Development Authority Pakistan for six years.
The new GB-engaged Faculty Consultant was a former CPSC Assistant Faculty from 2004 until 2006. During his term at CPSC, he was awarded with a World Class Achievement Award as part of the team that developed the web-based teaching learning system of CPSC. He had been very active then with numerous events of CPSC as Resource Person in international conferences and regional programs.
He became a National Coordinator for Accreditation of the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) in 2006 until 2009 in Pakistan.
Dr. Hazrat earned a doctoral degree in Technology Management from the Technological University of the Philippines, Philippines, in the year 2005, a master’s degree in Engineering in Water Resources and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Peshawar, Pakistan in 1995 and 1990, respectively.
He was born in Mardan, Pakistan on September 30, 1967. He is married to Mrs. Saiqa Hussain and has an only child named Saad Noor Hussain.
Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub, CPSC Director General, led the Faculty and Staff in welcoming Dr. Hussain and his family as the latest addition to the CPSC family and expressed high hopes and confidence on the significant contributions of the newest faculty in attaining CPSC’s goals and objectives.
