The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) joins the Republic of Singapore in celebrating its 60th Independence and National Day this August 9, 2025. With this year’s theme “SG60: Building Our Singapore Together”, we honor the nation’s commitment to sustainable development, mutual cooperation, and the advancement of regional cooperation through technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
CPSC extends its greetings of friendship and solidarity to Singapore, its first host country from 1973 to 1986.
Majulah Singapura!

- On August 9, the National Day Parade (NDP) makes its grand return to the Padang, while live screenings and localized celebrations allow even more Singaporeans to take part in the event.
Several events have also showcased the vibrance and inclusivity of the SG60 campaign, which led to the following activities:
- The Singapore Youth Festival featured the talents of students in the arts and performances to interpret cultural heritage and envision Singapore’s shared future.
- The National Family Festival offered fun-filled carnivals and bonding activities across various venues in June.
- The Purple Parade is Singapore’s largest ground-up initiative to support inclusion and celebrate the abilities of persons with disabilities in society.
Her Excellency Constance See Sin Yuan (right), Ambassador of Singapore to the Philippines and the current Chairperson of the CPSC Governing Board invited Prof. Dr. Dhameja (left) to join the celebrations.
Once again, Happy Independence and National Day to Singapore!
