
The Customized Program on Quality Assurance of TVET Institutions through Accreditation: A Roadmap for the Mongolian National Council for Education Accreditation (MNCEA) was implemented in pursuit of assisting MNCEA in its initiatives to adopt structured quality systems for TVET institutions while promoting the standards and criteria across the Asia-Pacific Region. The program was conducted from March 24 to 28, 2025 at the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) headquarters in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
The delegation, led by Mrs. Otgonbuzmaa Bandi, Liaison Senior Officer of TVET Accreditation, was consisted of 23 TVET high-level officials from the following polytechnic colleges under MNCEA: Darkhankhaan Polytechnic College; Polytechnic College of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology; Polytechnic College in Govi-Altai province; Polytechnic College in Selenge province; Polytechnic College in Uvurkhangai province; Umnugovi Polytechnic College; Khugjil Polytechnic College in Khovd province; Etugen VETS; Polytechnic College in Bayankhongor province; Polytechnic College in Orkhon province; and Polytechnic College in Zavkhan province.



The training sessions were facilitated by Dr. Kesavan Ulaganathen, CPSC Faculty Consultant and APACC Coordinator; Prof. Naeem Yaqoob, CPSC Faculty Specialist and APACC Co-Coordinator; and Ms. Julifer Madeja, APACC Officer. Resource speakers from Pakistan, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Abbasi and Mr. Rizwan Raunaq Rao, also delivered online lectures to enrich the program.
The sessions covered APACC application procedures and accreditation process; preparation and submission of Self-Study Reports (SSR); integration of technology in accreditation; competency-based education and training (CBET); industry engagement and partnerships; and sustainability and promotion of green skills.



In facilitating the training’s benchmarking component, the participants visited three APACC-accredited institutions, such as TESDA Women’s Center (TWC), the first and only APACC Platinum awardee in the Philippines, Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati and Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades, both holding APACC Silver Awards.
