
The Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) conducted the international webinar titled “Bridging Skills and Success: Building Effective Teaching-Learning Strategies and Entrepreneurial Mindsets in TVET” on April 11, 2025, via the Zoom platform. A total of 82 participants joined the webinar.
The sessions focused on two key topics: “Effective Learning and Training Methods in TVET Institutions” and “Building Entrepreneurial Skills and Mindsets in TVET.” These were delivered by Prof. Chuluuntsetseg Dagvadorj, an Education Evaluator at the Certification Committee of MonCertf Group, Mongolia and former CPSC Faculty Specialist, and Ms. Kimberly G. Bautista, Acting Supervising TESD Specialist at the TESDA Women’s Center (TWC), Philippines.

In their sessions, Prof. Dagvadorj and Ms. Bautista emphasized the importance of learner-centered approaches, innovative instructional strategies, and outcome-based education in enhancing the quality of TVET. They also underscored the need to integrate entrepreneurship education within TVET curricula to develop proactive and opportunity-seeking mindsets among learners, which will allow them to create and manage their own enterprises.
The webinar was concluded with a question-and-answer (Q&A) session, which was moderated by Dr. Kesavan Ulaganathen, CPSC Faculty Consultant, who guided the exchange of insights from both speakers and participants.
