Introduction

Project Management is an approach to managing TVET projects to produce the projects’ results. The project management also provides a structure to ensure that stakeholders are consulted and relevant information is available throughout the life of the project, so that informed decisions can be made at key stages in the life of a project.

Projects are the most concrete means of translating plans and policies into specific courses of action. It is a temporary management activity that breaks up upon completion of the defined outputs. It ensures tight planning and controlling and is brought about by the efficient and harmonious coordination of the skills and energies of different specialists working in it. Understanding the principles and practice of project management would definitely help further improve the planning and implementation of projects in various institutions.

Thus, this program is aimed to equip participants with concepts, methods, tools, and approaches of effective project management in TVET institutions. Project works are designed to enhance learning of the participants by applying the project management skills and knowledge learned during the training time.



Objectives

At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand concept and process of project management
  • Explain the project cycle as key phases in project management;
  • Prepare project problem tree analysis, objective and solution
  • Develop project Logical Framework
  • Apply digital technologies in project management.

This program will cover the following contents:

  • Development, Issues and Challenges on Project Management in TVET
  • Project Cycle and Key Components of Project Proposal
  • Stakeholders Analysis
  • Project Problem Tree Analysis, Objective and Solution Tree Analysis
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting
  • The Project Logical Framework
  • Digitalized technologies in Project Management



Expected Outputs and Outcomes

The expected outcomes of the ORP are:

  • Project Log Frame
  • Project monitoring tools
  • Project activities schedule with budget

After the program the participants are expected to be able to:

  • Manage projects effectively and efficiently in the TVET institutions



Instructional Strategies

To facilitate productive and interactive learning, the following instructional strategies will be utilized to effectively train the participants:

  • Project, assignments and exercises
  • Online Learning and offline learning
  • Use OnCOURSE learning management system to develop lectures, test items, computer sessions and experience sharing
  • Hands on practice on digital tools for teaching and learning
  • Evaluation of program through OnCOURSE system

To conduct the program smoothly, each participant should have:

  1. Laptop or desktop computer with the following specifications
    • Intel Core i3 CPU (equivalent or higher)
    • 8GB RAM
    • 240GB Storage
    • Webcam
    • Earphone with microphone (laptop speakers and mic can also be used)
  2. Zoom and HTML5 compliant web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.)
  3. HTML5 compliant smart phone (Android of iPhone)



Registration, and Other Important Information

Registration is on a first come first served basis. A letter of confirmation will be sent once the minimum ten (10) participants is met on or before March 21, 2021. Please note that a full-payment is necessary to confirm your attendance to the program.

If there is insufficient number of participants, CPSC reserves the right to reschedule the training. If there is schedule conflict after movement of dates or force majeure, CPSC will reimburse the total amount received from the participant. Should the participant wish to withdraw from a confirmed program, the payment may be used to attend other programs advertised via CPSC website or 50% of the total amount may be reimbursed.

If any organization would like to conduct this program solely for their group, CPSC may prepare and send a customized program proposal, with some cost adjustment.
