A webinar on TVET Fund Management, via Zoom, was jointly organized by the National Planning Commission (NPC) of the Government of Nepal and the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) on November 30, 2020 at around 10:30 AM, Nepalese Standard Time. The event involved 38 Nepalese government planners, executives and distinguished guests in purview of the plans to establish a TVET fund for the country, which is considered as a sector that will prepare the youth for the labor market and a key part in the fulfillment of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

Speakers in the program include the following: (1) Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane, Director General of CPSC discussed about the concepts and relevance of TVET fund management; (2) Dr. Lalith Welamedage, Managing Director and CEO of Lanka Social Ventures in Sri Lanka, elaborated about the international experiences on TVET fund management with focus on his country’s experience and (3) Ms. Rosalina S. Constantino, Assistant Executive Director under the Planning Office of the Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA)- Philippines, discussed about the experience of the Philippines on TVET Fund Management, which they named as the “Human Resource Development Fund”.

The guests of honor of the event include Dr. Usha Jha, NPC Member from the Government of Nepal, who delivered the closing remarks and Prof. Dr. Pushpa Raj Kandel, Vice Chairman of NPC, who chaired the whole session. Dr. Kiran Rupakheti from NPC moderated the event.
