To start 2021 on a high note, the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR) in Bhopal, India conducted a 2-day International Conference with the theme “Advances in Technology, Management and Education” (ICATME 2021). This online event was conducted through the Google Meet platform on January 8-9, 2021, and was attended by imminent experts in the fields of engineering and technology, management, and education.

As one of the leading institution in the Asia-Pacific region that champions human resource development and the improvement of the quality of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), NITTTR Bhopal has tapped CPSC’s expertise by inviting its Director General Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane to be a chief guest at the conference. During the event, he imparted important learnings and relevant ideas through his presentation on “21st Century Skills-Based Education for Global Competitiveness” to the participants. He also highlighted the importance of acquiring life and career skills, learning and innovation skills, and information, media, and technology skills in order to adapt and succeed in the global labor marketplace.

Other prominent experts are also invited to present at the virtual event. This included the former CPSC Director General and head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, Dr. Shyamal Majumdar and PSSCIVE Joint Director and Former CPSC Governing Board-Engaged Faculty Consultant, Dr. Rajesh P. Khambayat. The Director of NITTTR Bhopal, Dr. C Thangaraj, provided the last presentation at the inaugural. The whole proceedings were moderated by Dr. Roli Pradhan, NITTTR Assistant Professor.
