Recognizing CPSC’s valuable contribution to the development and promotion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific region, the Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) invited CPSC Faculty Specialist, Engr. Abdul Ghani Rajput, as a keynote speaker to the Webinar on “FIRe Up Tomorrow: ICT Resources for Teaching and Learning”. The Webinar was conducted on July 8, 2020 via Zoom virtual meeting. The event was able to reach an audience of 1200 participants from various institutes in Pakistan as well aside from PVTC.

On his presentation entitled “FIRe Up Tomorrow: ICT Resources for Teaching and Learning”, he discussed the current context, challenges in teaching and learning cycle in TVET and ICT tools to enhance the teaching and learning cycle. The Webinar also featured distinguished speakers from various organizations and institutions in PVTC and in Pakistan as well.

The Webinar was a part of PVTC online capacity building initiatives to train Regional Mangers, Area Managers, Principals, Admin and Accounts Officers, Admission and placement officers and all Instructional Staff of institutes. In Pakistan, PVTC is leading the largest online capacity building drive and life skills training drive for trainees. It envisioned to be a platform to discuss and share the ICT tools for teaching and learning cycle, particularly about Moodle – Learning Management System.
