Ten Don Bosco Tech ASEAN Country Coordinators from the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar as well as representatives of the Don Bosco Mondo and Commission on Youth Ministry in Rome have conducted a short study visit to CPSC in Manila, Philippines last March 2, 2023 as part of their first bi-annual meeting as hosted by the Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati.

As requested by Fr. Jose Dindo Vitug, SDB, Managing Coordinator and Executive Director of the Don Bosco - One TVET Philippines, this study visit was aimed as a benchmarking activity for the Don Bosco Tech ASEAN Country Coordinators on the good practices of CPSC as a forefront international organization for TVET through the development, promotion, and implementation of quality training programs for TVET administrators, officials, and trainers all across Asia Pacific.

During the visit, a short ceremony commenced wherein CPSC Faculty Members Dr. Kesavan Ulaganthen, Governing Board-Engaged Faculty Consultant, and Engr. Dr. Mian Khuram Ahsan, Senior Faculty Specialist, proceeded to discuss the programs, processes, roles, and functions of the respective divisions in CPSC: Training and Development Division (TDD), Research, Publications, and Information Division (RPID), Projects and Consultancy Division (PCD), and the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC). The division officers of CPSC also attended the ceremony. A short open forum ensued after the presentations.

On behalf of the Director General, Dr. Kesavan Ulaganathen expressed his gratitude to the Don Bosco Tech ASEAN delegation for selecting CPSC as one of their benchmarked institutions for their bi-annual meeting this year. Moreover, he also extended CPSC’s full support to Don Bosco on their training needs in the future. From the Don Bosco’s side, Fr. Vitug has also signified his appreciation for the hospitality of CPSC staff in accommodating the delegation and has encouraged his co-country coordinators to explore potential program collaborations with CPSC in the future.
