A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) and Bentley Systems, Inc. on May 26, 2022 and was commemorated through a ceremony held virtually via Zoom. The collaboration was intended “to overcome the emerging issues and challenges being faced by TVET, which may include re-training of TVET teachers, new teaching and learning methodology and technology, etc.”

Attending the ceremony on behalf of CPSC are all the divisional team leaders together with the Director General, Prof. G.L.D Wickramasinghe. On the other hand, Bentley Education was represented by Mr. Mohit Bradoo, Director of Bentley Education, Mr. Kuthur Sriram, Global Education Programs Manager of Bentley Systems, Inc.; and Mr. Narain Loganathan, Senior Programs Manager for Bentley Systems, Inc. in Southeast Asia.

The partnership aims to explore opportunities for collaboration on programs that will equip TVET teachers with digital learning content for infrastructure design and development, as well as the exploration of key software that can be relevant in enhancing the methodological demands of TVET instruction today.

Bentley Systems, Inc. is a corporation based in the United States which specializes in creating and managing the world’s civil infrastructure. Its education arm, Bentley Education, is focused on creating programs to help students for careers in engineering, design, and architecture. They are exploring opportunities within the TVET sector to encourage flexibility, innovation, and digitization among the students and educators in the region.
