The CPSC Director General Prof. G.L.D. Wickramasinghe, PhD paid a courtesy call at the Embassy of the Union of Myanmar in the Philippines on October 6, 2021.

Accompanied by the Executive Secretary Mr. Jan Michael Marasigan, they were welcomed by the Embassy’s Chargé d'Affaires Mr. Aung Kyaw Oo, and the Second Secretary Ms. May Myo Khaing.

Mr. Aung Kyaw Oo stands as the Chairperson of the CPSC Governing Board for the current Fiscal Year 2021-2022 as the Head of Mission of the Embassy of Myanmar.

Dr. Wickramasinghe presented his credentials as CPSC’s newest Director General. He also discussed the upcoming programs, as well as future plans of CPSC. He expressed his appreciation to Myanmar for its active participation in CPSC programs, having more than 4,500 participants in the past 2 years (2019-2021).

Meanwhile, Mr. Aung Kyaw Oo identified some opportunities for collaboration between CPSC and Myanmar which includes digitalized production systems, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, technopreneurship, public and government policy, public management, and MSME development. He expressed his wish for these themes to be prioritized in the future training programs that will be offered to Myanmar.

The meeting was successful as it renewed Myanmar’s support and commitment to CPSC’s activities and programs.
