A delegation from the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) composed of the Acting Director General Prof. Dr. G. Kulanthaivel, Executive Secretary Ms. Adrienne Abril and Projects and Consultancy Assistant Mr. Bryan Noel Lazaro embarked on a series of meetings and signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) in Negros Occidental and Iloilo City, Philippines on February 2 and 4, 2016.
CPSC visited the 3 prominent state colleges and universities for the said MOU signings namely, Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC), Negros Occidental on February 2, 2016 and West Visayas State University (WVSU) and Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) both located in Iloilo City on February 4, 2016.
For CHMSC, it was a renewal of the MOU since CPSC and the institution first signed an MOU in December 2012 while new partnership was forged with ISAT U and WVSU.
Prof. Dr. G. Kulanthaivel signed the MOU on behalf of CPSC while Presidents of said universities Dr. Renato M. Sorolla, Dr. Luis M. Sorolla, Jr., and Dr. Raul Muyong signed on behalf of CHMSC, WVSU and ISAT U, respectively.
CPSC and its existing and new partners agree to cooperate, map and implement educational and human resources development activities which may include organizing joint programs and conferences for sharing knowledge and technologies, internship of your professionals of the institutions to CPSC, faculty and staff exchange, promotion of ICT in TVET and green initiatives for sustainable development, and other innovative education and training activities for human resources development.
Apart from MOU signings, Prof. Dr. G. Kulanthaivel presented a lecture titled "Instructional Design and Delivery System" to the academic and administrative staff of CHMSC on February 2, 2016. The lecture was well received by the participants.
